Rachel Homan and her Team Ontario have secured their spot at the Tournament of Hearts final. They won their rematch against Team Manitoba, skipped by Jennifer Jones. The final score was 8-5.
Jennifer Jones came out on top of the round robin match up between these two teams. But Rachel Homan and company did their homework, carefully studying what went wrong in that game. They put together a nearly perfect performance in their 1 vs. 2 page playoff rematch. The win moves them straight through to the finals.
Jones, however, isn’t finished yet. The loss drops her down to the semi final game, where she’ll face the winner of the 3 vs. 4 page playoff game: defending champion Heather Nedohin.
Nedohin’s Team Canada earned her spot in the semi final by defeating Kelly Scott.
The semi final takes place in the early draw on Sunday, with the final being played out during prime time Sunday night.
