The two Ontario teams went head-to-head during the evening draw at the Tim Hortons Brier. Both teams were leading the pack with impressive records, but this game was never close. Howard jumped out to an early lead and steam rolled his way to an 8-2 victory.

Glenn Howard and Brad Jacobs are the skips for Team Ontario and Team Northern Ontario, respectively. Jacobs had a strong 4-1 record heading into this game, while Howard was still undefeated at 5-0.

Howard’s Ontario foursome started the game strong. Having the hammer in the first end, they capitalized big time, scoring a huge three points. Northern Ontario were forced to take a single point in the next end before surrendering a string of steals.

By the time we reached the 7th end, Howard’s crew was enjoying a comfortable 8-1 lead. Jacobs managed on to pick up one more point before shaking hands. Howard, on the other hand, is flying high. The veteran skip now joins Brad Gushue‘s Newfoundland team at 6-0.
